September 2022 wqas a monumental month.  With the death of the Queen and all the way to her funeral,  we were part of history in the making!

The Lying-in-State of Queen Elizabeth II took place at Westminster Hall at the Houses of Parliament before she was moved to Westminster Abbey for the first part of her funeral.  While she was Lying-in-State, tens of thousands of people queued to file past the Queen's coffin and pay their respects.

Myself and Ms Lam decided to join this queue and share the journey with you.  It was a long queue and took us over 14 hours.   We met lots of people along the way - even got to see the King (King Charles III), shake Prince William's hand and offer him our condolences  (he may have even recorded a special message for you!) which was unexpected and made the day even more special and unforgettable.

As we walked, we thought about our induction 'dreamcatcher' theme where we were learning about lots of different jobs and careers.  We asked people we met about their jobs and what they liked about them - a chance for you to find out about some pretty cool and different jobs out there!  There may also be some  links to our school values in the video - see if you can spot them!

The Queen dedicated her life to service and was an inspiration to many. This was our very small way of paying our respects for all we feel she has done for us.  We hope you enjoy it.
